TECHNICAL NOTES///
Conversation-specific knowledge extracted from the printing sleeve bushing tips discussion.
QUESTION / CONTEXTOk I need to print a sleeve bushing out of pla. Here are the measurments, .6875 od and .625 id it will be 2 inches tall. I want to print this like I did my washer, all walls. Any suggestions for getting the correct size off the first print? Im not opposed to scaling the model to get there
IMPORTANT GUIDANCE
- Let’s get you dialed in so your *first print is damn close* instead of guessing 3–4 times.
- --
- ODs print slightly oversized
- IDs (holes) print undersized ← this is your main problem
- Tall thin parts (2" tall tube) can get a little oval if cooling isn’t great
- OD: 0.6875" (11/16)
- ID: 0.625" (5/8)
- Length: 2.000"
